So who doesn't enjoy Jack Johnson? His music truly soothes my soul, and relaxes me. A group of us had bought tickets and made a day out of it...well sorta.
Emilie and I waited in line (I cannot say stood due to the fact that we did sit, and eat, and drink, and eat) for almost 5 hours in the
RAIN to ensure that our seats would be spectacular. While hovering under the one umbrella that we had brought, we compared whose pants were the wettest, talked about life, and determined that together, we would be very capable homeless people.
Bored out of our minds, and possibly a bit crazy in the head due to the lack of dry clothing, we made friends with the people in front of us and the people behind us. Which is a definite must at a concert.
A little later the group all joined us in line and as the gates opened Emilie ran to the front of the crowd, tarp in hand, and scored an amazing spot in the muddy grass!
After running into not only friends but family too, we enjoyed dinner and a few drinks and people watched before the big show. Jack was amazing and so was the goofing around and time away from the kids.
And, the biggest blessing of all was that as soon as we were able to find our seats for the show, the rain and clouds cleared and the sunshine came out!
